Diagnosis Concussion

Amy Coughlin Greene

Amy Coughlin Greene is an author, brain injury survivor, and advocate for healing and recovery.

Amy grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and was twice North American Champion in Irish Dance, played the piano and loved making artwork. She felt, however, that she had to put all that away upon becoming an adult so she studied Economic and Urban Studies at Northwestern University – dancing occasionally for Irish Club fund raisers. She went on to get her MBA at Columbia University in New York. She worked in organizational development for Fortune 500 companies before deciding as she was approaching twenty-eight years old – that it was now or never. Could she become a Broadway Dancer? So she left the OD world and started taking classes – learning to move her arms as well as her legs. She was paying the bills with a “day job” of word processing at night – when a few years into this life – had a head injury.

This book is her journey toward recovery, and comes from her desire to help other people out there struggling with a head injury. And to give them hope. She ended up being able to go back to the day job full time, then moved to northern California where she met her husband. She even danced with the local community college dance company for two seasons. She has additional certifications in Neurofeedback, Spontaneous Transformation Technique and Biofield Healing.

Amy feels like she has lived several lifetimes within this life already and looks forward to more.
